IF I’M SURE OF ANYTHING, IT’S THAT LOOKING “FINE” ON PAPER IS NOT THE SAME AS FUNCTIONING WELL IN REAL LIFE

Hey, I’m Niki Bowen.

I know what it’s like to feel dismissed, exhausted, and panicked that your body isn’t cooperating anymore.

After graduating from law school in 2008, I entered big law and burned out fast. I was constantly exhausted, struggling to keep up, and already pushing past limits.

Motherhood turned that pressure up to an entirely new level.

After the birth of my second daughter, my oldest was diagnosed with autism. Overnight, my life became a nonstop cycle of caretaking, appointments, decision-making, and holding it together. The stress was relentless, and eventually, my body stopped playing along.

I developed crushing fatigue and full-body pain to the point where functioning normally felt impossible, and I couldn’t get out of bed. Doctors ran labs, shrugged, and suggested antidepressants, iron supplements, or vitamin D. When none of it helped, I kept pushing until I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2015.

If you’ve ever been given a diagnosis that basically translates to “good luck,” you know how that feels.

The medications made things worse. I gained 40 pounds and started to believe the damaging message so many women hear: this is just how your body is now.

EVERYTHING SHIFTED WHEN I ATTENDED A THREE WEEK OUTPATIENT PAIN REHABILITATION CLINIC FOR PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC SYMPTOMS.

That was the first time anyone explained how chronic stress, nervous system dysfunction, and physiology interact, especially in conditions where the central nervous system is already under strain.

For the first time, my symptoms made sense. It wasn’t “all in my head” or “just how life is.” It was a body doing what bodies do when they’ve been running under pressure for too long. It also led to the diagnoses of additional autoimmune conditions.

That program gave me my life back and sent me down a path I didn’t expect.

I learned everything I could about how the nervous system, digestion, nutrition, and environment shape the body’s capacity to heal, and now I’ve built what I wished I’d had from the start: a practical, structured way to stop guessing and start working with the body in the right order.

I WORK PRIMARILY WITH SMART, HIGH-CAPACITY WOMEN IN PERIMENOPAUSE WHO FEEL LIKE “DIFFICULT CASES.”

They’ve done their research, tried to get answers, and still feel like something isn’t adding up. Many come to me saying: “I’ve always been able to handle a lot… and now I just can’t.”

When standard approaches minimize what’s happening (“this is normal”) or patch over it with duct tape (hello, birth control), women are left managing symptoms instead of addressing what’s driving them.

That’s the gap I’m here to fix.

I WILL NEVER ASK WOMEN TO TRY HARDER, EAT LESS, OR OVERRIDE THEIR BODIES ONE MORE TIME.

It comes down to understanding what your system actually needs now and building capacity from there, based on you, your labs, and your lived experience.

This is the next best step for women who are done feeling like shit.
